With autumn comes sweaters and leaves falling and bonfires… and ALL things pumpkin! At Bessie’s Best, that also means that Lactation Pumpkin Bread is almost here!

We have good news, and some changes to announce.

The same pumpkin bread that you know and love IS, in fact, going to be available through this year. The pumpkin bread is a delicious, fall/winter option on Bessie’s menu of yummy lactation snacks. Full of four galactagogues (ingredients known to boost milk supply) versus the four in our classic cookie, the lactation pumpkin bread is a treat many look forward to hitting their mailboxes every year.

After evaluating the patterns of sales of last years’ pumpkin bread, we have decided to continue offering it, but on a limited-time basis. For 2023, we will have two time periods of about a week each where pumpkin bread will be available for purchase only on our website. Make sure to keep an eye on your email as well as our social media channels for updates on when those sales will be. It is also possible that we may open up a week in 2024 as well.

So, if you love the lactation pumpkin bread, what does that mean to you?

As we mentioned, you will still be able to continue getting pumpkin bread for the fall and winter seasons for $13 a loaf. Our lactation pumpkin bread freezes great, so if you are someone who buys it throughout the season, we will just recommend you stock up and pack your freezer instead of reordering! When you’re ready to eat it, pull it from the freezer and allow it to thaw on the countertop; it should only take an overnight until it’s ready to dig into.
